Historic Sanibel Manor House and Gardens is located on Oak Grove Island in the beautiful Golden Isles of Southern Coastal Georgia. This home features an old-world Mediterranean Revival architectural design. Sanibel Manor House takes you back in time welcoming you to a simpler, more elegant era.
The lovely botanical gardens were designed and constructed in 2019 - 2020. The prime contractor for the construction of the gardens was Elegant Outdoors of nearby Saint Simons Island. With the help of skilled landscape professionals, masons, electricians, and more than a dozen vendors from across the United States, the gardens were meticulously constructed and planted.
The botanical gardens at Sanibel Manor House are registered with the National Wildlife Federation. The gardens feature sculptured water fountains, classical statuary, brick-paved walkways, a wide variety of tropical trees and plants, and two lovely ivy-covered arched trellises. The botanical gardens of Sanibel Manor House are truly a haven of beauty and tranquility.
Sanibel Manor House and the botanical gardens are beautifully illuminated at night presenting an enchanting panorama! The nighttime illumination transforms the manor house, landscape, and botanical gardens into a picturesque world of dramatic colors and evocative shadows.
Being far from the city lights, overhead the evening sky is filled with the brilliance of a thousand stars and the occasional shooting star. In the distance, one can clearly hear the calls of little green frogs and nearby owls. Sanibel Manor House and Gardens is a truly magical place to enjoy and love!
